Activity‑Based and Project‑Based Learning Fair

The Primary English Department held a vibrant and meaningful Activity‑based and Project‑based Learning Showcase, highlighting the English learning achievements of students from Primary 1 to Primary 6. The event brought together creativity, values education and language learning, offering students an opportunity to present their work to teachers and schoolmates.

P1–P3 students displayed their activity‑based learning tasks, demonstrating how they learn English through hands‑on games, crafts and interactive activities. Their booths showed how meaningful tasks help young learners build confidence in speaking, reading, writing and teamwork.

P4–P6 students presented their project‑based learning projects, each level focusing on a different theme. Primary 4 explored kindness, showcasing their palm pledge of kindness, appreciation notes to classmates and a creative recreation of The Invisible Boy to promote the message that sharing is caring. Primary 5 focused on building a harmonious campus, displaying their “I Am” poems celebrating uniqueness, encouragement notes for classmates facing challenges and their thoughtful proposals for creating a caring school environment. Primary 6 highlighted the theme of resilience, presenting inspiring resilience quotes and a student‑produced newscast encouraging positive coping strategies.

A major highlight of the event was the series of student‑designed game booths, where P4–P6 students introduced the themes of kindness, harmony and resilience to younger schoolmates through games they created themselves. These booths showcased students’ creativity, communication skills and teamwork.

The showcase successfully demonstrated how English learning can be engaging, purposeful and values‑driven. Through activity‑based and project‑based learning, students not only strengthened their language skills but also deepened their understanding of important values that contribute to a positive and supportive school community.
