Primary 6 Bridge Building

Primary 6 English and General Studies teachers worked collaboratively to integrate STEM education into the curriculum. In the English lessons, students read articles on how engineers build bridges and tunnels to overcome Earth’s varied geographical obstacles, such as rivers, mountains, gorges and many other landforms. They have learnt about several types of bridges and their features. They have also acquired some basic knowledge of the force from their General Studies teachers. Then they designed and built their bridges which were tested on how much weight they could withstand. It is an incredible hands-on experience for our Primary 6 students.
