Our Team Won Senior Secondary Merit Award with ComfortStep!
We are proud to announce that our school’s Innovative Technology and Engineering Team has won the Senior Secondary Division Merit Award in the Smart Mobility Aid Design Competition, co-organized by the Social Welfare Bureau and the Macao Science Center.
The competition encouraged secondary students to design smart assistive devices that improve the independence, safety, and well-being of elderly people and persons with disabilities in Macau. It received 107 entries. Judges selected the top 10 teams from each division to advance to the finals.
Our winning project, ComfortStep, is a multifunctional smart assistive shoe with slope-adaptive support, SOS location tracking, and instant emergency alerts. It helps elderly users walk more safely and confidently in daily life.
This achievement reflects our students’ strong STEM skills combined with empathy and a commitment to social inclusion. It demonstrates how technology and engineering can create meaningful solutions that support our community.
Congratulations to the team and their teachers! We also sincerely thank all parents, teachers and students who supported us on-site.
