Cultural Night 2013

On the 13th April, 2013, the school held its annual Cultural Night at the Macau Forum. This year's cultural night was a special one because it was also the SRL 80th Anniversary Celebration Party. His Excellency, Bishop Jose Lai, Bishop of Macau, Ms Leong Lai, Director of Macau Education and Youth Affairs Bureau, and other guests attended the event.

Before the show started, Ms Leong Lai thanked the school, not only for retaining the spirit of fraternity in keeping with the unique Rosian personality, but also for expanding the learning environment with the latest teaching methods. She also thanked the dedicated staff for nurturing talents for the society. The Cultural Night serves, not only as a performance platform for students to share their talents with guests and parents, but also as a means to encourage students to maximize their potential and develop their learning attitude.

The Cultural Night began at 8:00 pm. The school Handbell Choir and the Chinese Orchestra were the first performers. They played melodic background tunes while a nostalgic slideshow presentation of photos taken during the 80 years was presented.  The photo stream took audiences back to the past and showed them how the school had changed and developed. Other performers included the Secondary Choir, the String Orchestra, the Concert Band, the Drama Club, the Break Ice Dance Team and the ever-popular Modern Dance Team. Finally, all teachers and staff members sang “Hand in Hand” to affirm their commitment to progressive education and to collaboration in the face of difficulties. The show ended with kudos all around.
