3D科技創客實驗室
Levels Involved:
F4-F6
Purpose:
This course introduces students to 3D modelling and 3D printing, guiding them from foundational concepts to hands-on practice. Students learn to design their own models on the computer, print them with a 3D printer, and apply these techniques to solve everyday problems. Through the design-to-print process, the course cultivates creativity, spatial reasoning, and practical problem-solving skills, while keeping pace with current trends in the maker and digital fabrication fields.
Content:
First Term:
Introduction to the fundamentals of 3D modelling, including an overview of 3D design software and basic modelling techniques. Students will learn how to navigate a modelling environment, understand core concepts of three-dimensional design, and begin creating simple digital models from scratch.
Second Term:
Introduction to 3D printing technology, including the characteristics of 3D printers, materials, and common printing methods. Students will explore a variety of 3D printing techniques, learn how to prepare and slice their models for printing, and gain practical experience operating the printer to produce their own finished works.
Third Term:
Combining design and fabrication into complete, real-world applications. Students will apply their 3D modelling and printing skills to develop practical solutions to everyday problems, working through the full process from concept to finished product, and may prepare projects for relevant technology and innovation competitions.
